Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details: your name and email address, and either a password (stored only as a hash) or the basic profile returned by Google if you sign in with Google.
• Resume content: everything you type into a resume — such as contact details, work history, education, skills and any photo link you add — plus the template and design settings you choose.
• Templates you share: if you choose to submit a design to the community library, the design and your display name.
• Technical data: standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used to run and secure the service.
• Messages: anything you send us by email.

How we use it

• To provide Craftfolio: sign you in, save your resumes and generate PDF and DOCX exports.
• To send transactional emails such as welcome and password-reset messages.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it, where you have agreed to analytics cookies.
• To show advertising, where it is enabled and you have agreed to advertising cookies.

We do not sell your personal data, and your resume content is not used to advertise to you.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as light or dark theme. Where analytics or advertising tags (for example Google Tag Manager or Google AdSense) are enabled, they stay off until you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Who we share data with

We use service providers to run Craftfolio. They process data only on our behalf or under their own terms, and include providers of: hosting and site analytics (Vercel), database hosting, transactional email (Resend), sign-in (Google, if you choose it) and, if enabled and accepted, analytics and advertising (Google). We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and resumes until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Deleting a resume in the app removes it. Backups and logs may persist for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise these rights email [email protected].

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hash passwords and limit access to data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Children

Craftfolio is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
